THE FLOATING CLASSROOM
We operate the Electric Barge as a social enterprise so all proceeds raised on board fund our charitable efforts as the Floating Classroom, providing fun and imaginative learning experiences for local children and young people on and around London’s canals.
SUSTAINABILITY
As our name suggests, the Electric Barge is fully battery powered. This means we generate much less noise and air pollution compared to traditional, diesel powered canal vessels.
Wherever possible, we partner with local suppliers and brands to help reduce delivery emissions and we recycle the bulk of our waste.
COMMUNITY
We operate along the picturesque Regent’s Canal, travelling regularly to Camden Market and sometimes as far as Kings Cross. Our scenic boat trips allow you to discover a different side of the capital.
We strive to support our community at every opportunity, often partnering with independent, local business and working with community groups in the local area.
